Family-run since 2006
North Pitch is Tom and Linda Brekke, their son Eric, and four crews of roofers who work for us, not for a sub. We've spent twenty years on roofs around Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Twenty years
How we got here.
A short history, told along a roof line.
- 2006
One truck, one ladder rack
Tom Brekke starts North Pitch out of the garage in Roseville. Linda runs the phone and the books from the kitchen table.
- 2010
A second crew
Enough work to hire a full second crew. Everyone on the roof is an employee, a rule that hasn't changed.
- 2014
Our own shop
We move into the shop on Northfield Court, with room for a dumpster trailer and a gutter machine.
- 2017
Seamless gutters
We start forming seamless gutters on site, so a roof and its gutters come from one crew.
- 2020
Low-slope roofs
A crew trained on TPO and EPDM takes on small commercial buildings, duplexes and porch roofs.
- 2024
Eric runs the field
Tom and Linda's son Eric takes over the four crews. Tom still does a few inspections a week.
- 2026
Twenty winters in
Twenty Minnesota winters on the job, still family-run, still answering our own phone.
The family
Three Brekkes. One phone number.
- LindaRuns the office, the schedule and the insurance paperwork. Most calls to the shop line land on her desk.
- TomStarted North Pitch in 2006 with one truck. Still does a few inspections a week.
- EricRuns the four crews since 2024. If you're getting a new roof, he's the one on your driveway at 7 AM.
How we work
Tied off, on time, cleaned up.
Our own crews
Four crews, all employees. The people on your roof are the same ones we trained.
One point of contact
One person from inspection to final walk-through, with a cell number that gets answered.
Clean yard
Tarps on the landscaping, a dumpster on boards, and a magnet sweep for nails before we leave.
Paper you can keep
Photo report, written price, permit, maker's warranty and our 10-year workmanship warranty.
Licensed & insured
Check us before we climb.
Ask any roofer for these. You can look up a Minnesota contractor license on the state's license lookup in about a minute.
